The Crown: Katerina, the Princess

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m random and slightly chaotic. I’ve been accused of living in a fantasy world most of my life. I don’t believe that’s accurate. Trust me, I know what is real or not. But there is something to that comment.

There is always some story, some idea running through my head. I know my family and friends (talking about you, Heather, lol) get exasperated with me for always having new ideas. Everyone is like, finish this one first. Believe me, I want to; I truly do. My mind is just a jumbled, chaotic mess of ideas, though. I try to write bits and pieces down, so I won’t forget them. Plus, that helps so I can continue on with what I need to be working on.

While working on the Dark Series, with Dark Secrets and Dark Whispers, one day in the summer, an idea came to me. And while I just was going to write a bit so I could keep it in my folder of ideas, it turned out to be something more. During that summer, I completed the entire book.

It’s a completely different idea from anything I’ve had before—though all my ideas are if I think about it. Thus a new series was born.

So while I’m working on the third book in the Dark Series, I’m also working on the second book in my new Crown series. I’m scratching down ideas for the other thoughts in mind to keep myself sane and organized. But these two books are my focus.

With that being said, I hope you enjoy The Crown: Katerina, the Princess.

Dark Secrets: Critique

Writer’s Digest Self-Published E-Book Award Critique

Judge, 9th Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published E-Book Awards. “The story of Kira and Sawyer is so clever and creative. I was impressed by the ways these young kids are able to navigate such massive questions and problems. Having a large gap in their memories and needing to backtrack, discover, and do so while being teenagers with drama is fun, exciting, tense, and compelling. The resolution of things at the end of the book worked well for me, and left room for the story to continue in a fun way that felt perfectly decided upon for readers to want to jump into the next part of the story right away. Very clever and original fantasy work that young adults especially will enjoy.  Readers will really love this book but need to be able to find it.”
